Welcome to the 'Calmer, Easier, Happier Parenting' Training Programme

Who the CEHP training is for:

The CEHP training is suitable for anyone who works with, or is studying to work with, children, parents or families. This includes teachers, head teachers, SENCOs, teaching assistants, therapists, counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, youth workers, family support workers, nannies, etc.

The purpose of the CEHP training:

  • to improve client outcomes
  • to continue professional development
  • to add to one’s professional profile

The CEHP training programme:

The CEHP training programme is made up of three separate courses:

  • Basic Level Course – Parent Coach
  • Intermediate Level Course – Group Coach
  • Advanced Level Course – Family Coach

Each course consists of:

  • Set questions that the trainee answers to demonstrate:
    a) thorough knowledge of the CEHP methods, and
    b) the skills to convey this knowledge successfully

  • Individual mentoring sessions with Noël via Skype. During these sessions Noël will give feedback and guidance to enable the trainee to improve their answers.
 The Courses in the CEHP training programme
Basic Level Course: Parent Coach
To be able to successfully coach both parents from a family together (or one parent if it is a single parent family) in the CEHP methods.

Stage One - Theory of CEHP, 25 questions

Stage Two - Parent Coach, 25 questions

Maximum length of course: 6 months

Maximum number of mentoring sessions: 12

After successful completion of the Basic Level Course the trainee will receive a certificate of completion and may then choose to progress to the next level course.

Parent Coach
 
Intermediate Level Course: Group Coach
To be able to successfully teach the CEHP methods to groups of parents.

Number of questions: 25

Maximum length of course: 3 months

Maximum number of mentoring sessions: 6

After successful completion of the Intermediate Level Course the trainee will receive a certificate of completion and may then choose to progress to the next level course.

Group Coach
 
Advanced Level Course: Family Coach
To be able to successfully work with a family (parents and children together) usually in the family home, to demonstrate the CEHP methods in situ and to coach the parents in real time.

Number of questions: 25

Maximum length of course: 3 months

Maximum number of mentoring sessions: 6

After successful completion of the Advanced Level Course the trainee will receive a certificate of completion.

Family Coach

Procedure

Calmer, Easier, Happier Parenting bookThe first step for the prospective trainee is to study Noël’s book ‘Calmer, Easier, Happier Parenting’, available on Amazon. (We further recommend that you study the articles, videos and podcasts on our website and on our YouTube channel.)

The next step is for the prospective trainee to have a consultation with Noël (45 minutes, via Skype). Noël will find out about the prospective trainee’s motivation for doing the training, their current knowledge of CEHP, what they expect to achieve, and how they plan or hope to make use of their training. Noël will also answer any questions that the prospective trainee has about the training.

At the end of this consultation, Noël will make a decision regarding the prospective trainee’s acceptance onto the CEHP training programme.

Once accepted onto the training programme, all trainees (regardless of previous professional training or employment) start with the Basic Level course.

A schedule of mentoring sessions will be agreed upon. For each mentoring session the trainee will:

  1. submit answers to five new questions
  2. when necessary, resubmit improved answers to previous questions, until they are 100% correct

The trainee will email their answers to Noël in a Word document at least 48 hours prior to each mentoring session.
